Illustration Friday-DIGITAL

Here's another oldie for this week's Illustration Friday. I think it was drawn last summer, maybe last fall. It was for a small press magazine and the article was about "Kids-N-Computers" . It's a little hard to see the details at this size...but, o'well.

I had a break from the deluge of work over this past weekend! It was nice to be free... got to see a movie ("crash"), went to a flea market (Pasadena City College), ate good food (Thai) and consumed a couple cocktails (mohitos). Ahhhhh, I really needed that.

  17. Brilliant! Really love this illustration - full of fun ideas. Away with the old-fashioned computer games, this is (should be) the new way to play. The tv climbing frame reminds me of that fluxus artist Nam June Paik, just to be a bit obscure!

Have you ever seen Andy Warhol's early work for children's books? Your illustrations are reminiscent of his--and that's a compliment.

  32. I'm with you, Freelancer. There ARE plenty of blogs that tackle the big issues. And, insomuch that I agree with "Contemplative" with his statement, I've chosen to keep this an upbeat and lighthearted blog. My blog, my choice. There are PLENTY other offerings out there. Hell, I only started this blog to communicate with other illustrators. geesh. Contemplative, why don't you start a blog with your own private rants for all to see?! I see you don't have one posted via blogger. You're no more than an anonymous poster.
