Hello. I'm posting my Illustration Friday WAY late this week! Freelance work came in...so I was glued to my drawing desk and not able to get to this until tonight! I am NOT complaining because I love when work comes my way!!
Anyway, you could call this illustration TRAVEL (which was this past week's theme)...or you could call this CROWDED (the previous week's theme)...or you could call this what I'm calling it... "Flying Coach on United". In any case, this is more a "character study" than it is a full blown illustration...I mean, how else can I explain away the fact that you can't see the back of the plane??? Anyway, this was all prompted by last month's fabulous trip to Ireland. All was great but the air travel bordered on criminal. Please...just gimme an inch or two (maybe even three!!) more for my legs dammit...I'm 6 feet tall!!
Here's a close-up of my misery...
Ireland was pretty though...and the beer was good too!

Scott, you know where you can go, right??!!!?!?!!! ;)
Wow! Great! Nice composition, I Love all the characters, and it's so funny :)
I love the colors. I wonder why I didn't see this before. I like the boy who wants to grab his truck. ;o)
This illustration is great! Especially the girl looking soooooo bored and wanting to get off that plane. I have been there too many times to count-oh and the seats are so cramped and the cabin so stuffy.

Another great Paige. I feel your pain! I am 6' 2" and I hate planes and movie theaters... they make my knee caps hurt.

Gasp! I almost missed this one. Fun illo Paige. I know what you mean, I only took a plane twice in my life and it wasn't a pleasant experience. For different reasons though.
But you went to Ireland?? Lucky you! :-)
I guess plane seats dont come in Amazon ;)
How come you didnt tell me you had a blog?? Very cool site, Paige! Love the "Alone" image today in paticular.
I'm 6 feet tall as well. I went to Ireland for my honeymoon last year and definitely can relate. That flight was AWFUL!

I am only 5'9", but I feel your leg pain! Happened on the 5 hour flight to Vegas! At least we had Trivia games on the back of the seat in front of us to keep us busy!
